Poozeum: World’s Largest Collection of Fossilized Poop Opened as a Museum #

A newly-opened museum in Williams, Arizona, has been dubbed the Poozeum, housing the world’s largest collection of fossilized poop, also known as coprolites. The museum offers free access to approximately 8,000 pieces of coprolites. Despite initial reactions of surprise or laughter, visitors are often intrigued by the diverse and fascinating nature of coprolites. The museum’s founder, George Frandsen, became interested in coprolites at the age of 18 and has since dedicated himself to studying and showcasing their scientific significance. The collection includes remarkable coprolites with teeth or bite marks, providing insights into ancient creatures’ diets and behaviors.
