A growing number of people are choosing to delay having children due to various reasons. However, if the female partner is over 35 years old, about one-third of couples may face difficulties in conceiving. Researchers conducting a clinical trial have suggested that a drug called rapamycin, commonly used to prevent organ transplant failures, may extend a woman’s fertility by up to five years. Initial findings from a small pilot study indicate that rapamycin could delay ovarian aging and menopause. Although further research is needed, this offers hope for women seeking to prolong their fertility.
